The ShowMeYours exchange model is deliberately simple at the starting point: for every five valid advertising impressions a participating site contributes, it earns four exchange credits. The important words are “valid impressions.” This is a credit-for-exposure model, not a promise to buy each view from you for cash.
How the five-to-four exchange rule works
When the network accepts five qualifying impressions delivered by your site’s advertising placement, your account receives four exchange credits under the current model. The system allocates promotional inventory using those credits, subject to available campaigns and the network’s delivery logic.
The 80% figure describes the initial conversion ratio, not a guaranteed percentage of impressions you will receive back on a different domain. Campaign allocation, value groups and available audience inventory also matter.
Credit examples you can calculate
| Accepted impressions | Base credits earned | What this does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 400 | Not 400 clicks or 400 visits |
| 5,000 | 4,000 | Not cash revenue |
| 25,000 | 20,000 | Not automatically 20,000 delivered ads on any chosen site |
| 100,000 | 80,000 | Not a promise of a specific demographic audience |
All examples use the five-to-four base arithmetic. Your actual dashboard is the authoritative source for accepted events and balance; never replace it with a page-view estimate.
Why the amount of exposure you receive can vary
Not every impression offers identical advertising value. ShowMeYours uses an internal value-group allocation model to help match campaigns with comparable participating inventory before considering other available groups. The details of allocation should be read from the live publisher dashboard and current terms, not assumed from a simple credit conversion ratio.
The five-to-four figure describes how valid contributed impressions create exchange credits. It does not set a cash CPM for publishers or promise a fixed number of campaign displays in every traffic segment. Actual delivery depends on available inventory and applicable network rules.
What happens after I earn credits?
- Prepare an approved creative in a supported banner format.
- Choose a destination URL that fits the promise in the ad.
- Launch the campaign using available exchange credits.
- Monitor impressions delivered to the campaign and resulting landing-page visits.
- Adjust the creative or destination if the audience is not engaging.
ShowMeYours supports 300 × 250, 728 × 90 and 320 × 100 display formats. These are the only three formats described here; do not assume arbitrary sizes will be accepted.
What if I display banners but earn no visible credits?
First make sure the current JavaScript snippet matches your registered domain. Confirm that you installed it once, that the browser is not blocking it and that sufficient time has passed for reporting. Then inspect the member-facing valid activity. Invalid or rejected events are not counted as credits, and detailed reasons are retained in internal Superadmin diagnostics.
If the account is showing no activity, the fix is not to generate artificial page views. Follow the WordPress integration steps and the valid-impressions explanation.
How many visitors will my credits buy?
That is the wrong unit. Credits fund impressions according to network rules; users must still choose to click. Of those clicks, some people may leave immediately. A useful campaign report separates delivered exposure, clicks and engaged visitors. A well-targeted banner that brings fifty interested readers can be more valuable than a broad banner that brings hundreds of accidental clicks.
Does ShowMeYours replace my other advertising?
No. A banner exchange is one distribution option. Publishers can separately evaluate paid advertising networks, direct sponsorships and their own affiliate campaigns. Avoid counting the same piece of inventory twice or mixing tracking methods in a way that makes campaign results impossible to understand.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 5-to-4 conversion a cash exchange?
No. It awards advertising credits for qualifying inventory, not automatic cash earnings.
Are all page views counted?
No. Only network-validated impressions count for exchange credits.
Does ShowMeYours require a WordPress plugin?
No. The primary integration uses a site-specific JavaScript snippet.
Can credits guarantee visitors or search rankings?
No. Exposure creates an opportunity for a click, and advertisements do not confer Google ranking credit.
Next step: measure what happens after the click so that credits become a sensible experiment rather than a vanity number.
